Bats are very important animals for the ecosystem - they are mammals. Among other things, they are responsible for regulating the population of insects because they feed on them and make sure that there are not too many of them. I do not know if you know but they regulate the population of mosquitoes, that's why recently it is very fashionable to make bat boxes around the houses on the trees. They also have their natural echolocation radar so they can fly at night in almost complete darkness.
