We have many varieties of this fruit but the most popular one which you can find in stores and which you have certainly eaten more than once is the blueberry. It has many different kinds of medicinal properties that not every one of you appreciates. In particular, it is recommended for improving vision, commonly known as eyesight. It also supports concentration of the body. It also has anti-cancer properties.
The color is not black as some of you may think but is dark blue in color. It tastes sweet and is quite juicy. It is often used to make different kinds of jams. Poland is the largest country in the world that grows this fruit in its plantations. The harvest usually falls on the month of July, sometimes it can be the last days of June or the first days of August. It all depends on what kind of summer we have. It is worth eating them often for their healing and health-promoting properties.
The blueberry, or highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum), is a dark blue fruit prized for its sweet taste. Blueberries are firm and juicy and can be eaten raw or processed, e.g. as jam, a sweet sauce for desserts or pancakes.
In Poland, the blueberry season usually begins in July, when the blueberries harvested in our country go on sale. The imported ones can be bought much earlier - usually as early as May, although some stores sell blueberries imported from Chile or Spain all year round. It is worth reaching for blueberries as often as possible, not only because of their taste, but also due to their medicinal and health-promoting properties.
