The average size of these fruits varies from 10 to even 20 cm, but the most popular are around 15 cm. I don't know if you know but they were first cultivated over 7000 years ago in Malaysia. This is where they had their cradle and then they reached India, Africa and South America. Of course we can also find this fruit in Australia. When it comes to the harvesting of these fruits we don't wait until they are yellow (ripe) but pick them when they are still green. Then they are properly packed and transported by ship to Europe. It is during this time that they ripen. Bananas contain a lot of vitamins A, E, C, K and B. Another advantage of bananas is that they are rich in fiber.
