Signs are what we encounter every day in our lives. They accompany us immediately after leaving home on the way to work, school or to the playground. Without them communication in big cities and moving around would not be possible.

In our country we distinguish as many as ten different types of signage including traffic lights. Additionally, each of them contains up to several dozen different specific signs.
Warnings:
What they mean and what function they perform can be guessed from their very name. Their function is to warn of, for example: a sharp bend, ruts in the road or road narrowing. They appear on a yellow store, usually in the shape of a triangle with red contours.
Warrant:
Another type of vertical signs which are circular in shape and have a blue background. These signs tell you which way to go, for example, or show you which way you can go from a particular lane of the road.
Horizontal:
This set includes all those that are located on an asphalt road. For example, the lanes to cross to the other side or the stop line that tells us where to stop.
Prohibition:
They tell us what we cannot do in a particular place. The most common is a prohibition sign, which says that we can not go further on this road or drive into it.
Supplemental:
They inform us, for example, about the total weight of the car allowed on a particular road. Very often we can meet them also during road renovations during which they inform us about the way around the given section that is being renovated.
Localities:
This type is well known to all of you; these are markings on a green background with the names of towns and cities on them.
Informational:
They are very often colored blue and inform us, for example, that the road we are driving on is a dead end road so there is no exit or that there is a gas station on our way soon.
Of course, in addition to the above divisions we will meet two more groups and they are: additional and traffic lights.
Some interesting facts:
- Do you know that they are set by the manager who is responsible for the road in question.
- They not only tell you how to behave on the road, but also show you the direction of the road and the speed at which you can travel.
- Plastic posts along the road are located every 50 meters.
