- Apollo program: Perhaps NASA's most famous achievement is the Apollo 11 mission, during which astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon in 1969.
- Space telescopes: NASA is responsible for the Hubble telescope, which has been providing amazing images of the cosmos since 1990. It is also collaborating with other agencies in the design of the James Webb telescope, Hubble's successor.
- Mars survey: NASA has sent several missions to Mars, including rovers that explored the planet's surface. The latest of these, Perseverance, landed on Mars in February 2021.
