Cowboy Bebop is a 1998 Japanese animated science fiction action-adventure television series directed by Shinichirō Watanabe and written by Keiko Nobumoto. Set in 2071 on a floating space station known as Bebop, the series follows the adventures of Spike Spiegel, a former hitman for the criminal Red Dragon Syndicate, and his crew consisting of former police officer Jet Black, "hacker" Faye Valentine, cyberpunk Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, and Welsh Corgi Ein. Together they hunt for bounties, search for clues to Spike's past, and uncover an interstellar conspiracy involving a deadly new drug known as "Red Eye."
