  1. Frame: Rama is the seventh avatar (incarnation) of the god Vishnu in Hinduism. In the Ramayana, he is portrayed as the ideal king, husband and brother who always follows dharma (moral and ethical law). He was exiled from the kingdom of Ayodhya by his father, King Dasharatha, based on a promise to one of his wives, Kaikeyi. During his exile, his wife Sita was kidnapped by the demon Ravana, leading to the great war that is central to the Ramayana.
  2. Lakshmana: Lakshmana is Rama's younger brother and is one of the most important supporting characters in the Ramayana. He is Ram's faithful companion and guardian throughout his exile. Lakshmana is known for his infinite loyalty to Ram. He is the one who left the royal comforts and accompanied Rama and Sita during their 14-year exile in the jungle.
