This novel also features Winged Monkeys, who can be given orders by using the Golden Hat. First the Wicked Witch does, but when Dorothy douses her with water and all that is left of her is a shapeless mass, the Golden Hat is taken by Dorothy. She summons the Winged Monkeys and they get to the gates of Emerald City comfortably. Use different colors when you paint the picture.
