Dr. Benner is an unappreciated scientist who is irradiated as a result of a lab accident. The result is an uncontrollable transformation of the Hulk. Initially, the doctor has no control over himself in the form of the Hulk and simply destroys everything he encounters in his path. Over time, he masters this ability and is able to control himself.
