The Dark Duck is actually the best character in this tale. He saves the town of St. Canard from all the evil and hostile characters who want to get even. He defends the weak and expects nothing in return, a truly heroic attitude worthy of emulation. Thanks to his daytime disguise, he can be a perfectly ordinary duck, just like anyone you meet on the street.
