Clone stormtroopers were the first elite soldiers of the Galactic Empire. After the fall of the Galactic Republic and the formation of Emperor Palpatine's New Order , the clone soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic were renamed stormtroopers .In the illustration we see just such a stormtrooper.
