The Passover holiday is commonly referred to as Jewish Easter. It lasts 7 days in Israel and 8 days in the Diaspora. Passover begins with a solemn Seder Evening after sunset. Seder in Hebrew means "order." It means that there is a particular order according to which the various foods are eaten, prayers are said and blessings are pronounced.
