The Hoplites were a formation of heavily-armed Greek infantry who fought in close formation in battle. Their armament consisted of armor, nagolniki, helmet, shield, short sword and spear. The Hoplite knew how to wield weapons perfectly, knew his place in the ranks and the drill of the subdivision, and knew a lot about tactics as well. Use your favorite crayons to color the picture.
