Kevin Wayne Durant, born September 29, 1988, is an American professional basketball player. His NBA career began when he was selected as the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. When the team moved to Oklahoma City a year later and changed its name to the Thunder, Durant became a key player and one of the most recognizable players in the league.

He is considered one of the best players in NBA history, winning many awards, including two NBA Championship titles (2017, 2018) with the Golden State Warriors and the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award twice. In 2014, he won the MVP of the regular season.
