Mirio is a third-year student at U.A. High School, a prestigious school for superhumans (known as "Heros"). He is one of the school's top three students, known as "The Big 3," along with Nejire Hado and Tamaki Amajiki.
Mirio is known for his power of "Permeation," which allows him to pass through solid objects. Although this is an ability that was difficult to master (because it required precise control and concentration), Mirio worked extremely hard to become one of the strongest students in the school.
Mirio is optimistic, anticipatory, and has a strong sense of justice. Although he is incredibly strong, he always strives to improve and is determined to become a hero who can save anyone.
Mirio plays a key role in the series' "Internship" arcu, in which he and his friends try to stop an organization composed of villains. In this arcu, Mirio shows his fighting skills, but also his inner strength and determination.
