Jirou is a student at U.A. High School. High School, which is a school for aspiring superheroes, called "heroes" in this world. Her Quirk (a unique superhero ability in this universe) is called "Earphone Jack." She can manipulate her long, cable-like jack ears, which can transmit sonic vibrations to create loud sound waves. These cables can also act as "sensors" that allow her to hear conversations and sounds at a distance.
Jirou is modest and somewhat self-critical, but she is also determined and loyal to her friends. Her style is rock-punk, which matches her love of music. She is a talented musician and we often see her playing various instruments, and at one point she is even given the role of vocalist in the school band.
As one of the few main female characters in "My Hero Academia," Jirou is a favorite of many fans for her unique abilities, passion for music and her relationships with other characters.
