The picture shows three hard working little miners who are fairy tale characters. They have special protective helmets along with a flashlight to light the way in dark mines. One of them works with a wheelbarrow and carries away stones, and two of them work with a hammer. Miner's Day is a traditional miner's holiday celebrated in Poland on December 4, the day of St. Barbara of Nicomedia.
