Jar Jar Binks is a representative of the Gungan race from his home planet Naboo. According to the Gungan, he became famous for his special bravery in the battle of Theed, but really his achievements were just a coincidence. In Episode II, Jar Jar is an assistant to Senator Amidala, and in her absence he replaces her. He was also one of the proponents of the creation of Clone Army.
