The lizard we see in the picture has an unusually large and impressive tail. It has a sort of decorative frills on the sides. Lizards feed on insects, snails or spiders. Any smaller insects are also consumed by them. In order to catch an insect they have to lurk and remain calm so as not to startle their prey.
