Number nine is very brave. In one episode he showed his strength as he appears on the screen lifting a long builder's block and on top of it three other friends from Numberblocks-number four, six and number eight. So he had it pretty tough and still did it with ease. Nine is gray in color and you can mostly see because it is in the form of a square.
