California state seal

The seal depicts Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, a brown bear, the official state animal, feeding on bunches of grapes representing the state's wine production. The grain sheaf represents agriculture, one of California's most important industries. The miner represents California's gold rush and mining industry, and the boats represent the state's economic power. The background can be identified with San Francisco Bay or the Sacramento River. Expression Eureka means "I found it!" This is the motto of California. Use different colors when painting the picture.
