- Simba is a young lion who is the son of Mufasa and Sarabi, making him heir to the Pride Lands kingdom.
- In his youth, Simba is curious and fearless, though sometimes reckless. He repeatedly gets into trouble through his audacity.
- After Mufasa's death, caused by his treacherous uncle Scar, Simba flees the Pride Lands. He then meets Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him the philosophy of "Hakuna Matata" (no problem).
- In "The Lion King," Simba grows up and becomes a strong and courageous lion. After meeting his long-lost friend, Nala, and the ghost of his father, Simba returns to the Pride Lands to defeat Scar and reclaim his right to the throne.
