Children's outdoor games

Children's outdoor games

When we have nice weather outside it is not worth sitting at home. You can even think about giving up coloring books, or if you want to paint, take the cards to a meadow or grass and play with colors with your children. After all, you can take crayons and paint different pictures in the fresh air. However, there are a whole bunch of other fun activities. In this post we wanted to categorize such games according to the age or interests of your children. We hope that you will like this post and you will be satisfied with what we have presented especially for you. We promise that there will be no boredom and you will have great fun. You can print these games from our website or simply open them on your phone.

For 10-year-olds

outdoor games for 10 year olds

1) Stone dominoes - we go on a stone hunt at the beginning if we find enough stones. We need about 20-30 stones. Then we draw dominos on them. We draw dots on them, like on blocks, and then we draw stones and arrange our stone dominoes.

2) Create barnzolls - recommended for girls. Here we have to use some of our own creativity. For example, at home look for orange peels, pasta, and other things from which you can make a barnacle. We pack everything into a bag, we don't forget some thicker thread or preferably if we have a thicker string or line. Then we are sure that they will not break.

3) Target Throws - we make a circle on the grass with thicker string or whatever. We look for different stones and throw them to the target. Remember that the weight of the stones must be adjusted to the age of your children.

Outdoor playlist - versatile for everyone

outdoor games for 2 people

1) Kegels from cans - if we have all sorts of cans collect them wash them out, not throw them away. They will serve us outside as bowling pins. For throwing we use a ball that we have at home. It is best suited for tennis because it is heavy and it will be very easy to knock the cans over. We record the results of who knocked down how many cans and the winner is the person who obviously scored the most points in the game.

2) Treasure hunter - in the backyard or in the park or summer, we choose a specific area where we hide an item and our job will be to find it. We give all sorts of clues like, a few steps forward or it's behind a certain tree. Everything depends of course on the area where the game is located.
3) Ball game - this classic game is perfect for the outdoors. It can be played by both boys and girls. Goals can be made either from shoes or any other elements. It is very nice to play this game on the grass. If there is a larger number of peers, it nicely integrates all of them.

4) A track with obstacles - here most depends on parents' creativity and inventing such a track on which we can run or, for example, ride a bike. This will provide a lot of great entertainment for you and your children.

5) Heat and cold - I'm sure all of you are familiar with this. If we are closer to a particular thing or figuring out a puzzle then we say warm. On the other hand, if we are not moving towards solving the problem or finding the thing then we say cold.

6) Walking on curbs - here we play in a cool coordaynation of our movements. We are sure to find a curb somewhere and we walk on it. See how far you can get and how much fun you can have. You can also play this game with your children

For two people

1) Drawing on the sidewalk - all you need to do is buy some colored chalk from the store and you can draw whatever you want in 2 or more people. We can also play tic-tac-toe on the sidewalk. The first better rain will remove such paintings and there will be no traces of them. So you do not have to be afraid of any consequences associated with paintings.

2) Badminton - here are such portable sets to buy for example in Decathlon. We spread such a net outdoors on the grass, take out two rackets and play with darts. The game is definitely for older children. Younger ones may not be able to cope with it

3) Shapes of clouds - here we can play outdoors or when we go on a trip by car. We ask one person what the cloud reminds them of. Often these are figures, plants, animals and other things. Then we ask the other person and see how different our children's ideas of the same thing are.

Creative in the garden

1) Fruit Fun - if we have fruit growing in our garden we can play guessing games or simply buy fruit and in the garden talk about it and guess what fruit it is. We can also taste them and try them. See and learn about them, their shape, where they grow and talk a lot of interesting information about each of them. This will provide lots of fun and develop creativity in children

2) Picnic - we take a blanket, board games and food into the garden. We play like that all day long with breaks for food and invent different games. In the blanket we can roll it up and down playing for example mummy.

3) Exploring the garden - if we have leaves we can sort them by color. For example, we put only yellow leaves in one pile and more red leaves in another pile. This is fun when summer is coming to an end. We can also recognize ants and other animals like snails.
