1. The weight in terms of size is not large because they weigh a ton, so they can jump to great heights as well as fly up to 130 meters.
2. These are not cheap vehicles. The average cost of a truck is 250 000 dollars which, if converted to zlotys, means over 1 million zlotys for the basic version of such a car.
3. Monster Jam are special cars prepared for demonstrations. They create their own track in each city. It takes a team of eight people to create the track and jumps in the arenas and stadiums that host Monster Jam - it takes them almost 3 whole days.
4. They have huge tires that are taller than people. They are hand-cut to suit the track conditions and to reduce weight. It takes 50 hours to cut one tire. The average cost of one tire is almost 15 thousand zloty.
5. Dedicated engines because they are not powered by the average engine. They are custom built with methanol injection and supercharging cost around 200K. Most teams replace five engines every year.
6. They need to be able to withstand big jumps and big shocks which is why most such vehicles run with nitrogen gas shocks. Some trucks run with one shock absorber per tire and others run with two per tire. A complete shock package includes a set of coil-over shocks and springs.
7. It costs a lot to maintain the entire Monster Jam team, as well as other repairs. The racing team of each truck spends on average 1 million zloty per year on maintenance and repairs and housing for the crew when they go on the road.
8. Around the world, watching such huge trucks is becoming more and more popular every year. More than 5 million people watch this unique sport every year.
