The origins of this car brand Hundai
In 1947, Chung Ju-Yung founded the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company. Later, in 1967, it changed its name to Hyundai Motor Company, and in 1968, he joined forces with Ford Motor Company to produce their first car, the Cortina. In 1975, they released the first Korean car, the Pony model, with styling designed by Giorgio Giugiaro of ItalDesign and powertrain technology from Japan's Mitsubishi Motors.
Hyundai and the global market
In 1976 Hyundai began exporting the Pony model to Ecuador and in 1984 also to Canada, where it was the best-selling car for some time. In 1985, the brand produced its one millionth vehicle, and began selling cars in the United States the following year. In 1988, they started producing cars based on their own technology, which was first seen in the Sonata model. In 1998, this Korean brand acquired rival company Kia Motors. In the same year, they began to change their image to become a world-class brand, focusing on looks and quality and even adding a warranty of 10 years or 100,000 thousand kilometers of mileage. In 2004, the company was ranked second in the renowned J.D. Power and Associates quality survey and was also ranked among the top 100 most valuable brands in the world, as evidenced by their sponsorship of global sporting events.

They have sold more than 3.6 million vehicles worldwide.
